Our Company
Thompson Computer Services was started in May 2001 in a spare bedroom of the Thompson home. Today we serve thousands of clients in the Roaring Fork Valley. We pride ourselves in forging and maintaining positive relationships with these clients.
The Information Technology (IT) industry changes quickly and we love the challenge of keeping abreast of the latest trends and helping our clients make the best choices for their needs.
Our Team
Kelly Thompson, Owner and General Manager: Mr. Thompson began programming computers when he was still in elementary school, learning BASIC on the original Apple II. His passion for technology started when he was young, helping in his grandfather’s TV Repair shop in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Mr. Thompson is A+ Certified and specializes in network design and management. Keeping up with technology advancements is his primary concern, and because of this he attends many trade events throughout the year.
Morgan Green, Sales and Service Manager: Mr. Green was born and raised in Rifle, CO. He was originally hired at TCS his summer before attending college, handling on-site services when TCS was still operating out of the Thompson home. He attended Colorado State University and earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems. He has also earned Cisco’s CCNA certification. After working for 2 years as the Webmaster for Hewlett-Packard’s Competitive Intelligence division, he moved back to Rifle to be closer to his family and work as the Sales and Service Manager at Thompson Computer Services. Morgan has been working in this capacity at Thompson Computer Services since 2007.
Josh Stover, System Engineer: Mr. Stover holds CompTIA certifications in A+ and Network+. He also has experience in Cisco’s CCNA program. He has been a member of Thompson Computer Services’ staff since 2005 and heads up our onsite services division. Mr. Stover is actively involved in projects ranging from simple hardware installation to complete network infrastructure design and implementation.

We have purchased 5 computers from TCS, 2 laptops and 3 desktops in the last 7 years. Both mother-in-laws have been very pleased with their desktops. Both live out of state in rural areas (dialup only!!!) so we needed very stable systems for them. One is a casual user and the other uses hers to run the family business. Our daughter’s laptop is used for college. I use both my desktop and laptop for business and casual use.
